Earlier this June, Psylo joined the 12th edition of Ibiza Fashion Festival, the island’s pioneering sustainable fashion event held at the stunning BIBO Park Ibiza Botánico Biotecnológico. Under the motto “Make an impression, not an imprint”, the festival brought together international designers, thought leaders, and changemakers, all working toward a more conscious fashion future.
A Festival for the Future
Now in its twelfth year, Ibiza Fashion Festival has become a key event in the sustainable fashion calendar. As the only festival on the island dedicated entirely to ethical fashion, it brings together local and global brands, raising awareness of the environmental impact of the fashion industry and showcasing alternative paths forward. The 2025 edition introduced an exciting new dimension, blending fashion, biotechnology, and activism—with expert panels, workshops, and a catwalk surrounded by living, bioluminescent plants. It was a celebration not just of style, but of action.
Psylo on the Catwalk
Among the standout collaborations on the runway was the official launch of Smokin’ Suits, a new brand by our long-time customer and friend, designer Nigel Atkin. Nigel envisioned his relaxed linen suits paired with Psylo’s signature sleeveless hoodies and tees—a natural match in both aesthetic and ethos. Known for our urban-tribal aesthetic, these designs added a timeless yet raw contrast to the refined boho tailoring of the new suits.
“Our team instantly knew Psylo and couldn’t wait to get to work to showcase such an aligned fashion brand with the sustainable mission of non-plastic clothing. The colour palette and the designs were outstanding.”
— Ibiza Fashion Festival team
Our contribution featured best-selling, iconic designs from Psylo's timeless collection, including:
- The Zentangle Tee, with its unique quilted pattern;
- The Spirit Sleeveless Hoodie Tee, a fan favourite for its rugged silhouette;
- The Shelter Hoodie Tee, in soft Cement grey;
- And the Mask Sleeveless Hoodie, for a sophisticated tribal touch.
All of these designs are crafted using natural fabrics such as linen, bamboo, and organic cotton blends—materials carefully chosen to align with our slow fashion values and the festival’s sustainable ethos. Styled with Smokin’ Suits’ soft tailoring and flowing linen cuts, the result was a refined yet laid-back aesthetic—boho-chic meets urban monk. The sleeveless hoodies, a Psylo speciality, brought boldness and contrast to the earthy elegance of the suits.
A Collaboration Rooted in Shared Values
What made this show special wasn't just the visual harmony—it was the shared values. Both brands are grounded in slow fashion, natural fibres, and timeless design. It’s a meeting of minds: a designer who has worn Psylo for years, now integrating it into his own creative vision.
“Once I signed up with Smokin’ Suits for the Ibiza Sustainable Fashion Show, my first thought was to collaborate with Psylo. We align on so many levels—not only do we both use breathable, natural fabrics, but we also design with freedom and self-expression in mind.
Smokin’ Suits were created to be stylish without conforming—easy to wear, especially in hot climates. Psylo hits every mark: sleeveless, cool, edgy, and with an effortless style that complements mine perfectly. Why settle for standard shorts and tees when there are great alternatives?
The ethos of Smokin’ Suits is to offer a modern, masculine look that’s relaxed yet refined—from villa parties to festivals to cities like Dubai, Tulum, or Ibiza. I’m honoured to pair Psylo with Smokin’ Suits and show the versatility of both brands for the modern man who knows himself.”
— Nigel Atkin, founder of Smokin’ Suits
As Nigel launched his brand at the festival, we were honoured to be part of that first step, walking alongside him on a catwalk dedicated to sustainability, creativity, and innovation. No gimmicks, no hype—just wearable art for a better world.
