Let me guide you through a vast sea of mystical symbols, as I attempt to decode this universal language infiltrating our eco-conscious fashion like mycelium permeates the soil. For the past 25 years, we at Psylo have explored mystery schools and ancient cultures, spending countless nights drawing mandalas and meditating on sacred geometry. I've seen firsthand how the idea took shape—using what we wear to subtly, even subconsciously, inspire and influence others.

Think about it for a moment: we’re literally wrapping our bodies in cosmic mathematics. Sacred geometry isn't just decorative—it’s the universe’s fingerprint we carry on our skin. From the flower of life carving, which we can find all over the world, to the Temple of Osiris (Egypt), through Hampi (India), to the Forbidden City (China), to name a few. Or the famous cross, which we can find all over; across pre-Christian cultures all around the world, and it still lives today in all Christian traditions. These patterns and others repeat obsessively across cultures, as if they were some kind of shared genetic code.

I’ve seen people transform simply by wearing these symbols.

The Tetrahedron: a 4-faced Three-Dimensional Power

Triangles are everywhere in Psylo’s patterns. The tetrahedron—a 3D shape made of four triangles—or its 2D counterpart, the triangle, are the most stable shape in flat geometry. The founder of Aikido, Ueshiba Morihei, said, “The triangle represents the generation of energy”. In Eastern and Western cultures, the holy trinity represents balance. Try sitting in the lotus position and observe the shape your body makes. In architecture, we can find the ancient Pyramids, a tetrahedron. The Louvre? A giant glass pyramid. Buckminster Fuller's geodesic domes are another perfect example of geometry in contemporary architecture.

Once in Bangkok, I was watching artisans sew two layers of fabric along triangular lines with obsessive precision. “It’s meditation,” one of them told me without even looking up. And he was right—there was something hypnotic about that repetitive process, like Tibetan monks who spend days composing meticulous thangkas, pouring coloured sand grain by grain into sacred patterns destined to be swept away—a visual mantra materialising through cloth and thread.

Have you ever tried drawing the same pattern over and over until you lose track of time? That is the concept of zentangle. It’s the slowing down of thoughts, by the power of concentration, and that's how we connect to the centre while keeping the mind gently focused. Our designers had this wild vision: to turn this meditative practice into garments that could transmit that feeling of stillness.

The process is mind-blowing: first, the zentangle pattern is printed with a white, water-soluble paint that acts as a guide. Then, two layers of fabric are stacked, and the stitching follows these lines using a double seam. This is where the magic happens: the upper layer of fabric is cut between the seams using tiny nail scissors, creating a sense of depth that reveals the pattern through a play of cuts and stitching. The Fibonacci Sequence: Wearing the Mathematics of the Universe

The Fibonacci sequence isn’t just for math nerds with fractal posters in their bedrooms. It’s one of the visual algorithms of our planet. Look at seashells, a pinecone, a sunflower, the arrangement of rose petals — it’s all pure math manifesting in nature. What fascinates me is how these patterns satisfy both hemispheres of the brain at once: the logical, analytical side gets sequential and objective data, while the intuitive, creative side feeds on the visual and subconscious information.
