Meet Miguel Hiroshi (percussion, drums, handpan, flute, synths, live looping, vocals), Leonardo Prakash (sitar, flute, live looping, vocals) and Manuel Pelliza (live electronics, live looping, synths, chapman stick, vocals).
Together they are Qyräl.
Bringing together acoustic, analog and electronic sounds in their music - Qyräl aim to extract the deepest and magical sonic emotions from the complete sound spectrum.
These talented musicians blend South American heritage to create a unique sound; one that shapes a moving, esoteric live experience by combining the acoustic with the electronic. Audiences are enchanted by these musicians, who weave a spell by using voice, sitar, percussion, flutes, synths and hand pans into a magical, floating journey.
If you listen to Qyräl’s music, you’ll quickly understand why Psylo is collaborating with them. Their unique sound combines various traditions and cultures - in a very similar way to Psylo’s style. From opera singing, to un-earthed organic electro-beats - Qyräl’s music transforms the listener to completely new sonic experiences. Coming together to play on stage, these musicians challenge the status-quo in a new age of electronic-based groups and collectives. And challenging the status-quo is in essence what Psylo is all about.
Like some of you, Qyräl first met Psylo in Tulum, Mexico. In summer 2019, Qyräl were going on their European tour. Miguel, Leonardo and Manuel needed stage clothing - a style to match their unique sound. So their first stop in Europe, for dressing in a unique style - was Psylo Camden. The guys visited us back in July 2019, and got all geared up for their European tour. As their shows were scheduled for place like open-air castle ruins - even summer nights can get cool. That's why both Manuel and Leonardo chose to wear the Baggy Hoodie Sweater on stage. While Miguel is wearing the Slanted Rmx Tee together with the Long Vmix Armbands and Ottoman Pants. Leonardo is wearing the Skirted Pants for full-impact, and Miguel the Doshi Pants for extra comfort.
