9,527 trees planted in the "Psylo Forest"🌲🙌🌲
Every tree makes a positive impact on nature, wildlife, and people. Trees clean our air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to our health and wellbeing, and create jobs for social impact. Throughout 2022/23 we’ve been honoured to have reforestation through ‘One Tree Planted’ as part of our commitment to sustainability.
At Psylo we care deeply about the planet and creating a business that gives back and is in harmony with nature. That’s why we’re thrilled to share that we’ve partnered with ‘One Tree Planted’ to plant a tree for every order placed on our webshop from February 2022 to February 2023.
“Working with One Tree Planted is a great fit for Psylo,” said Psylo founder and creative director Ami Ganiel. “Sustainability is at the core of our business model, and while we make a tremendous impact through being part of the slow fashion movement, it’s great to have another way to give back and help the environment.”
Planting trees is one of the best ways to combat the damaging effects of climate change. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink and provide habitat to over 80 percent of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. Trees also provide tremendous social impacts by providing jobs to over 1.6 billion people, empowering women in underdeveloped nations, and supporting communities devastated by environmental damage.
The objectives of our new partnership with 'One Tree Planted' include:
- Supporting global reforestation efforts
- Empowering people with sustainable actions
- Raising awareness about the importance of ecosystem restoration
This partnership was designed to be simple for customers to get involved in global reforestation. For every purchase made at Psylo’s online shop, we gave £1 to ‘One Tree Planted’ to plant one tree. One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. They plant trees to restore nature and biodiversity across 43+ countries in North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Pacific. The trees are planted by local partner organizations and community volunteers in areas where there has been deforestation. ‘One Tree Planted’ also raise awareness about the importance of trees, offer businesses like ours a simple sustainability solution, and motivate younger generations to do something positive for the environment.
