Oxford-born Marc Hudson began his journey as a vocalist at age 16. After years of playing guitar, an overwhelming urge to sing forced him to focus on what he loved the most. Known by former band mates as "Mr. Scream", he has been singing and playing guitar in various metal and rock bands since 2003. Taking influences from Michael Kiske and James Labrie, Marc has worked on developing a unique style of powerful, melodic singing. As his love of power metal and progressive music has developed, so has his voice. Key to Marc's success has been rigorous practice and determination.
In 2012, Marc joined 'Dragonforce' and became their lead singer. DragonForce, also known as the fastest band in the world, is a Grammy-nominated extreme power metal band. Although based in London, United Kingdom, their platinum-selling record, ‘Through the Fire and Flames’, brought them international acclaim. Dragonforce was also featured as the most-challenging song on Guitar Hero III. Their energetic and humorous live performances have won them fans on every continent. With their boundaries-breaking musical style being labeled as ‘Nintendo Metal’, ‘Extreme Power Metal’, ‘Speed Metal’ and more. Dragonforce’s cyber influences doesn’t end in their musical style. Their music videos have also been very much inspired by video games and the cyberpunk style.
When the band was going on a tour in Fall 2019, after the release of their latest album 'Extreme Power Metal', Marc needed new stage clothing. Looking for a similar cyberpunk, grungy style - he found our Shinobi Hoodie Vest and 2 Hick-up Wristband (one for each hand). Here you can see selected snaps from Dragonforce’s USA tour, where Marc is wearing his Psylo’s alternative clothing on stage at Vegas.
When we asked Marc for his reasons for choosing to wear Psylo, this is what he replied;
"I love the distinctive style of Psylo and the designs match perfectly with how I want to present myself on stage . The clothing style is unique and has a sense of adventure about it, just like the music we play."
Hope you enjoy this Psylo collaboration as much as we do. Feel free to share your feedback in the comments - we would love to know how you like this collaboration!
Love, Psylo Team
