Earth Day 2025: Psylo's Sustainability Goals & Achievements

Every stitch we sew is a choice—for the planet, for the people, for the future. In honour of Earth Day 2025, we’re reflecting on what we’ve done this past year to make Psylo more sustainable, and sharing what comes next in our ongoing journey.

Production Highlights

  • Introduced new organic/sustainable fabrics: stripe linen, slub linen, Ecovero, Hemp and 100% cotton double-knit (interlock)
  • Increased use of sustainable bamboo fabrics and blends across our T-shirt line
  • Eradicated any CVC Terry fabric, which contains a 40% polyester content
  • Decreased our use of Rayon fabrics by 80% and specifically, Rayon terry – replacing it with the 100% cotton double-knit (interlock), and woven Rayon, which was replaced with Ecovero and linen slub. This year, the move will be completed, and we will remove the last 20%
  • Sourced more of our trims locally and sustainably (specifically, coconut buttons replacing some metal alternatives)
  • Released the Reflax: Linen clothing collection for Summer 2024
  • Launched our RAW Organic collection in Spring 2025, a 100% organic and natural line with minimal to no print or other embroidery, for sustainable purists
  • Designed fresh styles using leftover, up-cycled new fabrics, like our mini or midi Aoki Wrap Skirts.

Online Efforts

  • Supporting our production with a Zero Waste policy by introducing our Warehouse Clearance section
  • Fully-sustainable packaging – from sugar cane envelopes, to removing plastic packaging and replacing it with a corn-based alternative.
  • Avoid offering super-fast delivery services
  • Working with eco-friendly partners, like Royal Mail, which is our main delivery partner and the greenest mail service in the United Kingdom*.

In-Store Actions

  • Going digital in the Camden shop with purchase receipts (customers receive an email or SMS)
  • Avoiding the use of thermal paper at our Camden store
  • London customers enjoy locally-sourced, recycled paper shopping bags with no print on top, avoiding pollution from toners and dyes
  • Using recycled garbage bags in the Koh Samui store
  • We opened a new flagship store in Mexico and shipped the collection and decor rather than air freight, reducing the carbon footprint.

Looking Ahead: Psylo’s Sustainability Goals for 2025–26 and beyond

  • Increase sea freight to reduce shipping emissions
  • Remove all Rayon fabric blends from production
  • Expand upcycled designs using leftover fabrics
  • Grow the RAW Organic collection and spotlight it more
  • Reduce the use of CVC Slub and research better alternatives
  • Plant 2 hectares of fruit trees in Bali
  • Plant coffee and continue supporting our local project in Bali’s mountains

Our journey is ongoing, and we’re glad you’re walking it with us. Explore our sustainable designs, support conscious fashion, and join us in celebrating Earth Day 2025—with action, awareness, and style that doesn’t cost the Earth.
